We offer a variety of different services in Conveyancing, from buying and selling freehold and leasehold properties, plots of land, new developments and a small amount of Company and Commercial matters. We have worked hard on creating our own Conveyancing database system and this means that we are able to offer an unrivalled service that offers flexibility and affordability.
We are open, Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm. However, we understand that our clients also have 9 to 5 jobs and it is sometimes difficult for them to contact us during the weekday. In order to cater for all clients, we have the further option where clients can obtain regular updates online via our ‘Track a Matter’ System. This is a fantastic tool and allows you to log on and view the stage of your transaction.

We are Bucksford Law and between us we have over 30 years’ experience combined in the local and wider property market.
Kacy Ford is the senior solicitor and will overview all matters carried out at this firm, regardless who is handling the matter.
We offer a variety of different services from buying and selling properties, land, plots of land and new developments, and coupled with the very latest in conveyancing software means that we are able to offer an unrivalled service that offers flexibility and affordability.
As a firm we are only open business hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm, but with our online track a matter you can obtain updates at any time on any day. You should take full advantage of this tool but we will also keep you regularly updated as your matter progresses.

Martin - Managing Director
Martin opened Bucksford Law in 2019. Coming from a financial services background, Martin realised that many of the local independent lawyer firms were being taken over by the corporate chains, banks and building societies and saw an opening for an independent local agent offering a range of services including sales, lettings, financial services and conveyancing.
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Martin also heads up Martins Estates sister companies Martins Estate, The Independent Mortgage Centre and Independent Property Lawyers.
Kacy - Senior Solicitor
Kacy qualified as a solicitor and then completed her Master in Legal Practice in 2014 has over 16 years’ experience in Conveyancing. You may recognise her from her time at Girlings Solicitors. With her impressive qualifications (she passed her Masters in Legal Practice in 2014) and experience she decided it was time that she stepped out on her own and has worked hard to bring Bucksford Law forward.
Kacy is known for her proactive approach in Conveyancing, ensuring that her clients are kept updated regularly. Kacy has lived and worked in Ashford for the majority of her life and has extensive knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.

Laurie - Legal Executive
Having completed her BSc in Marine Biology, Laurie spent time in Australasia as a dive instructor before returning to the UK where she became a qualified energy assessor. Laurie successfully started an Inventory service here in Ashford before returning to the family business as a Senior Negotiator. With over 16 years of experience gained primarily in Estate Agency, Laurie’s understanding of the sales process is unrivalled. Her understanding of the local market and wealth of local knowledge coupled with understanding of the sales process puts her in good stead for her exciting new role in conveyancing with is here at Bucksford Law.
The expertise gained in starting and running her own business has served her well with the changing dynamics of the property market. With over fifteen years of agency experience and as an experienced landlord, Laurie has been instrumental in helping Bucksford Law get started. On the Sales side of the business her comprehensive knowledge of the conveyance process means that she is able to assist clients, be it landlords from “idea to income” or first time buyers guiding them through the property maze and helping them secure that important first home.
Laurie has achieved her Level 3 Certificate & Professional Diploma in Law and Practice and is now working towards her CILEX Level 6 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice to become a Chartered Legal Executive.
Amy - Legal Secretary
Amy has 4 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing, previously working at Girlings Solicitors and alongside Kacy Ford as her secretary. Amy obtained her Legal Secretary qualification back in 2013 and after working in the conveyancing department she decided it was time to further her education. She is now undertaking her CILEX qualifications, whilst still supporting the team at Bucksford Law.
Amy believes it is important to keep all clients and Estate Agents updated throughout each case. Regular updates are always provided and she is easily accessible when clients need to contact her directly. She takes great pride in her ability to provide a friendly face and to be someone to turn to when clients need that additional support. Her professional and accurate style makes her an asset to the Bucksford Law team.
